What Is Roger's
Basement?
It was the place to hang out, anytime. Now it will be the place to hang out again. A
place to relive the memories of the past and welcome in the memories of the future.

The Basement wasn't always perfect. It once looked like this.
Old and dirty, brick
walls, and an insect in every corner.
But one day my father got the notion to fix up the basement to a more suitable look
and feel. Soon the paneling was up, the floor was tiled, and the ceiling was dropped. It
was then ready, ready to be moved into.
My bedroom was becoming cramped with the
articles and collections I've acquired over my younger years anyway, so I decided that it
was time to go downstairs.
My parents didn't mind at all and was happy to see me enter into a
much larger hamlet. Soon the Movie posters went up, the shelves were built, and the joint
was ready for jumpin'. Roger's Basement was alive.
Alive with the sound of laughter from the many
friends who entered it's confines. Alive with the endless party's which presided there.
Alive with the life of friendship, love, despair, and creativity.
From 1976 To 1983 Roger's Basement was the place to be.
It had it all
Ping-pong matches, model making, movie watching, recording sessions, picture drawing,
record playing, pole signing, wild parties, making out, beer drinking, quarter playing,
movie making, Ouija Board playing, whiskey drinking, cat box smelling, spider stepping,
mojo drinking, girlfriend punching, Cardinal Puff toasting, pizza eating, back room
puking, video taping.
Oh man..it was great!

Roger's
Basement had seen the best of times, and it had seen the worst of times.
Then, as time moves on, so did I. I said my farewells to my old friend Mr.
Basement and moved out to my own apartment.
Not long after that the neighborhood began to change as if taken over by
some decease, and the family was forced to move to higher ground.
Roger's Basement was closed. Dormant. Dead.
