CUT TO - A SERIES OF CLOSE UPS - SECURITY OFFICER PERRY MANSON RUNNING THROUGH AN EMPTY FIELD BREATHING HEAVILY.

CUT TO - P.O.V. OF SOMETHING CHASING PERRY.

PERRY TURNS TO US AND SHOOTS HIS GUN SCREAMING.

CUT TO - CLOSE UP OF A BOOMBOX RADIO.

THE SONG "I GOT THE POWER" STARTS PLAYING.

WE SLOWLY PULL BACK AND SEE THE GROOVING OF A SECURITY OFFICER LARRY WASHINGTON MOVING BACK AND FORTH IN FRONT OF THE BOOMBOX.

BLACKOUT - OF MUSIC AND PICTURE

THE TITLE ‘WATCHER’ FADES IN AS LOW OMINOUS TONE IS HEARD.

CUT BACK TO - MASTER SHOT OF SECURITY BASE. MUSIC BLARING. OFFICER LARRY DANCING.

SECURITY BASE OFFICE IS RATHER SMALL. LARGE GLASS WINDOWS SURROUND IT. A FEW VIDEO MONITORS CONTINUALLY SWITCH FROM ONE LOCATION TO THE OTHER

LARRY IS A BLACK SECURITY OFFICER BUT TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. SHIRT TAILS OUT OF PANTS. NO TIE. WEARING GYM SHOES NOT TO MENTION THAT HE’S DANCING AROUND TO THE MUSIC.

THROUGH THE GLASS WINDOWS WE SEE OFFICER PERRY ENTER.

MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL THAN LARRY DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE HAS JUST BEEN PROMOTED TO CORPORAL DUE TO CUTBACKS AT MANAGEMENT. HE NOTICES LARRY’S MOVEMENTS AND SHAKES HIS HEAD AS HE WALKS IN. SAME AS ALWAYS. JUST ANOTHER NIGHT.

PERRY TURNS OFF THE RADIO.)

LARRY

"Yo! It’s about time you got here. I gotta go!"

PERRY

"I get here when I get here."

LARRY

"Yeah but you don’t get here soon enough man. I got an hour drive ahead of me. "

PERRY

"Well I’m here now."

(LARRY STARTS TO GATHER UP HIS THINGS. HE’S QUICK AND JOVIAL)

PERRY

"Another date tonight?"

LARRY

"Date?! Man, I don’t date, I hump!"

PERRY

"All right Mr. hump, anything going on tonight?"

LARRY

"Not a thing man. Oh, except that the power in sector four went out around two."

PERRY

"The power’s out? Did you report it?"

LARRY

"Yeah I reported it. What do you think I can’t do my job?"

PERRY

"What they say?"

LARRY

"Man they didn’t even care. They seemed like I was bothering them. They said we shouldn’t have a problem with our new corporal on the job."

PERRY

"Yeah well that’s pretty fucked up because we got all this government shit in here. How’s the freezer in there?"

LARRY

"Man it’s cool. Temp’s been going up and down on it all day but nothing’s gonna thaw out in this weather. It’s fuckin freezin in here."

PERRY

"Where’s Chris?"

LARRY

"Where do you think. Out roaming the house. Hay man, he was late again today. Tim was really pissed he had to stay that extra hour."

PERRY

"Damn that asshole! He’s gonna fuck it up for us if he gets fired. We’re short on guys now."

LARRY

"You the boss man. And you got the power...weather or not he stays or goes."

PERRY

"Well I’ll talk to him. And you, I warned you about those shoes."

LARRY

"Man, what...Man no one ever sees us. We’re thirty miles from anyone out here. I don’t see why...."

PERRY

(LARRY LEAVES THE OFFICE. HE WALKS BY THE WINDOW)

(LARRY HUMPS HIS HIPS AS HE GOES OUT THE DOOR)

(PERRY GETS THINGS TOGETHER. TRIES TO CALL CHRIS ON THE RADIO.

THERE IS A LOT OF STATIC AND BREAKUP)

"Base to Chris come in. Base to Chris come in."

(STATIC)

PERRY

"Base to Chris come in. Base to Chris come in."

CHRIS (RADIO)

"Yeah base go ahead."

PERRY

"Yeah Chris. Where are you?"

CHRIS (RADIO)

"I’m just...(STATIC)..And I don’t think...."(STATIC)

PERRY

"Chris. Chris I didn’t copy. Again, where are you?"

CHRIS (RADIO)

"I said I’m in sector five...(STATIC)..kin cold in this place...When are..(STATIC)..Some fuckin heat in this place?"

PERRY

"Never mind the heat. I heard you were late again."

CHRIS (RADIO)

"Look, I’m tired..."(STATIC)

PERRY

"Come back Chris. I didn’t copy. Come back."

CHRIS (RADIO)

(STATIC) "...so fuck you..!"

PERRY

"Fucking radio’s. Damn!"

(OFFICER FRANK EDWARDS ENTERS RUSHING IN. TAKING OFF JACKET. FRANK IS A BIT OLDER THAN PERRY. HE’S SEEN IT ALL. BUT HE’S A LOADED WEAPON)

PERRY

"You’re late."

FRANK

"Fucking wife again."

PERRY

"Isn’t love grand."

FRANK

"Fuck you."

PERRY

"You want first rove or second?"

FRANK

"I’ll go second. I need to sit and take it easy before I put my fist through something.."

PERRY

(PUTTING COAT ON) "Well don’t break anything. I’m leaving you the radio."

FRANK

"Where’s the other one?"

PERRY

"Our man Chris ain’t back yet. Maybe I’ll run into him out there. Don’t matter much cause our fellow employees didn’t put the damn radios in the chargers when they weren’t using them."

FRANK

"Fucking assholes."

PERRY

"Yeah what else is new. We also got the power out in sector four."

FRANK

"Four? Ain’t that where all that government shit is?"

PERRY

"Yeah. Now we gotta keep an eye on it. All we need is for something to go wrong with that shit and we’ll all be on one long vacation."

FRANK

"Funkin babysitting the government’s secrets. We should be making more for this."

PERRY

"Yeah, look if anybody calls take a message and tell them I’ll call them back later."

FRANK

"You got it."

"Hay."

(CUT TO - OUTSIDE - MASTER SHOT OF THE PLANT THE GUYS ARE AT.

IT’S THE FIRST TIME WE SEE THE LARGE DESOLATE PLACE. A LARGE WAREHOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.

FROM A LONG SHOT PERRY IS SEEN WALKING OUT THE BUILDINGS DOOR AND WALKING ALONG HIS ROUTE.

VARIOUS SHOTS OF PERRY ROVING THE BUILDING.

PERRY ENTERS SECTOR FOUR.

ALL IS DARK.

PERRY SWITCHES ON HIS FLASHLIGHT AND ROVES THE AREA.

HE MOVES UP TO A LARGE FREEZER DOOR WHICH HAS A DIGITAL TEMPERATURE GAGE.

HE READS IT AT 48.

PERRY GOES ON HIS WAY.

CUT TO - PERRY WALKING ALONG A WALL WHEN WE SUDDENLY HEAR A STRANGE SOUND FROM A DOORWAY.

MOANING AND GROANING.

PERRY HEARS AND REACHES FOR HIS RADIO. CURSES FOR NOT HAVING ONE AND PULLS OUT HIS GUN. HE QUIETLY ENTERS THE OFFICE.

CUT TO - INSIDE ROOM AS PERRY ENTERS WITH GUN DRAWN. THE SOUND NOW IS STRANGER YET AND ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE SINGING. IT STILL IS FRIGHTENING AS IT ECHOES THROUGH THE EMPTY ROOM.

PERRY LOOKS AROUND AND SEES A LIGHT SWITCH WHICH HE QUICKLY TURNS ON.

CUT TO - CLOSE UP OF PERRY’S FACE SHOCKED. THEN SIGHS AND RELAXES AS HE HOLSTERS HIS GUN.

CUT TO - MEDIUM SHOT OF PERRY AS HE WALKS OVER TO A TABLE AS WE PAN DOWN TO SEE THAT THE SOUNDS ARE COMING FROM ONE OF THEIR RADIOS. HE PICKS IT UP. AS THEY TALK PERRY LOOKS AT THE MESS AROUND THE AREA. A HIDING PLACE OF THE GUARDS)

PERRY

"Perry to base. Perry to base."

FRANK (RADIO)

"Hay there you are. Been trying to get someone on this since you left. I figured someone would hear my calls eventually"

PERRY

"Sounded more like singing. Don’t quit your day job."

FRANK (RADIO)

"I don’t have a day job only this fucking work all night shit."

PERRY

"Well you don’t have anything to worry about then. Anybody call?"

FRANK (RADIO)

"Yeah, the office needs you to call them (STATIC) you get back."

PERRY

"All right I’ll be there in about an hour. Keep off the radio and save that battery."

FRANK (RADIO)

"What was that? (STATIC) You were breaking up."

PERRY

"Stay off the radio and save the battery."

FRANK (RADIO)

"I can’t hear you…(STATIC)..uking radio’s battery."

PERRY

"Yeah, yeah, yeah."

(PERRY SWITCHES OFF THE RADIO AND MOVES ON.

CUT TO - OUTSIDE SHOT OF BUILDING, ANOTHER ANGLE.

PERRY IS HEADING BACK WHEN HE SEE’S SOMETHING OUT OF THE CORNER OF HIS EYE.

CUT TO - A LARGE BLACK SHAPE ZOOMING AROUND A CORNER LIKE THE CLOAKED FIGURES IN ‘PHANTASM’.

CUT TO - CLOSE UP PERRY. HE PULLS HIS GUN OUT AND SLOWLY MOVES TO THE CORNER. HE WHIPS AROUND AND LOOKS BUT SEES NOTHING. THERE IS NOTHING THERE. REHOLSTERS HIS GUN AND MOVES ON)

PERRY

"Man I hate it out here all alone."

(CUT TO - T.V. PHONE SEX COMMERCIAL.

‘ARE YOU ALONE TONIGHT? WHY DON’T YOU CALL ME?’

THE T.V. THEN GOES TO STATIC.)

FRANK

"Fucking T.V.! Nothing works around here!"

(FRANK STARTS TO BANG ON THE PORTABLE T.V. CONTINUING TO COMPLAIN AS PERRY COMES IN)

PERRY

"Hay, hay, hit your wife, not the T.V. I told you not to break anything."

FRANK

"I’m not. It’s just this fucking T.V. Fuck it!"

(FRANK UNPLUGS THE T.V. AND PUSHES IT ASIDE

PERRY LOOKS FOR AND GETS THE BASE PROCEDURE NOTEBOOK.

AS THEY TALK HE LOOKS THROUGH IT)

PERRY

"Hay take it easy. What did Chris have to say?"

FRANK

"I thought you saw him. You got his radio."

PERRY

"Found it in an office in sector five. I didn’t see him."

FRANK

"Ha! Bet he quit."

PERRY

"He can’t quit just like that."

FRANK

"Hay when you quit you quit. He was pissed at you. Called you a jagoff. That’s grounds for dismissal ain’t it?"

PERRY

"Yeah, that’s right. I guess I’m going to have to fire him. And that means double shifts for all of us now."

FRANK

"What?

PERRY

"We got to cover these hours man. I can’t do it alone."

FRANK

"Aw man, why can’t we get a replacement from the office?"

PERRY

"They’re still trying to get someone to replace Stewert."

FRANK

"Stewert quit two weeks ago! What the hell is management doing over there! Trying to save money?"

PERRY

"What do you want me to do?"

FRANK

"Fuckin company!"

PERRY

"They pay your rent."

FRANK

"They don’t pay enough."

PERRY

"So, what’s up with your old lady?"

FRANK

"Ah I’ll tell you later. The bitch."

PERRY

FRANK

"Say’s here that temperature gage on that freezer in sector four can’t go beyond twenty degrees."

FRANK

"So?"

PERRY

"When I checked it it was at forty eight. That was an hour ago."

FRANK

"Fuck."

(CUT TO - SECTOR FOUR FREEZER DOOR- SOMETHING IS POUNDING ON THE DOOR FROM INSIDE)

FRANK

"This is bullshit man. What are we gonna do if something gets fucked up in there?"

PERRY

"Look, we’ll have to keep an eye on it all night. I’ll call the office and see if they can send someone out here to take a look at it.

FRANK

"This is pretty fucked up you know."

PERRY

"Did you have the radio on the charger while I was gone?"

FRANK

"Yeah, but only for about an hour."

PERRY

"Here take this one, but save some power on it all right?"

FRANK

"Yeah."

PERRY

"When you get to the freezer let me know what it reads. Otherwise don’t use the radio.

FRANK

"Hay man, when you talk to the office see if they can get us some backup down here."

PERRY

"I will man."

FRANK

"I can’t be workin all these hours with what’s going on at home.

PERRY

"Hay I’ll try. But I can’t promise you anything."

FRANK

"Just try."

(FRANK EXITS.

CUT TO - THE FREEZER IN SECTOR FOUR. THE DOOR IS NOW WIDE OPEN.

CUT TO - LONG SHOT OF FRANK COMING OUT OF BUILDING AND STARTING HIS ROVE.

CUT TO - BASE. PERRY IS ON THE PHONE. THE FOLLOWING IS ALL ONE SHOT)

PERRY

"....No they didn’t tell us anything about this shit......this is all fucked up there’s nothing in this book about what to do.....No. No emergency numbers. No nothing....I don’t know....Yeah and on top off is these guys they send out here to work....Yeah he was late again......and that’s just what I told him but he just kept giving me lip....No, no I don’t think so...Well that’s not the point. We’re short two guards now and I’m getting flack from the other guys. They don’t want to work the extra hours....I told them that....I told them that too but it’s not working....Look all I can do out here is to keep an eye on things and write it all down......."

(AS PERRY TALKS WE ZOOM INTO ONE OF THE MONITORS. IT IS A HALLWAY AREA SOMEWHERE IN THE BUILDING.

THEN THE MONITOR AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHES TO ANOTHER AREA. THIS ONE OF A DOOR WHICH HAS A LARGE WINDOW.

THESE TWO SHOTS ALTERNATE EVERY FIVE SECONDS.

PERRY HAS HIS BACK TO THE CAMERAS AND DOES NOT SEE.

NEAR THE LAST SECONDS OF THE DOORWAY SHOT WE SEE A LARGE BLACK SHADOW MOVE UP TO THE DOOR

THEN THE CAMERA SWITCHES BACK TO THE HALLWAY SHOT.

A BEEPING ALARM GOES OFF.

THE CAMERA THEN SWITCHES BACK TO THE DOOR SHOT AND THE DOOR IS NOW WIDE OPEN. GLASS BROKEN, HINGES HANGING.

WE SLOWLY ZOOM BACK AS PERRY STARTS TO MONITOR THE ALARM)

PERRY

"....Oh great, now what... (WHEELS HIS CHAIR IN FRONT OF THE MONITORS TO THE COMPUTER SYSTEM)

...No, no we got an entry alarm. Look let me call you back when I get this taken care of.....And try to get a hold of someone about that shit in sector four.....All right, yeah...(HANGS UP)

Shut up already..(HE SWITCHES OFF THE ALARM)

Entry alarm three....Let’s see...(PERRY WHEELS HIS CHAIR BACK TO THE MONITORS AND LOOKS TO MONITORS)

Three....three....Where are you...There you are.....Holy shit. What the fuck?.....(TAKES RADIO FROM CHARGER)

Base to Frank, base to Frank...Come on man....Base to Frank, base to Frank...."

FRANK (RADIO)

"Frank to base. What’s up?"

PERRY

"Yeah man. I got an entry alarm in sector three. You want to head over there and check it out. And watch yourself. It looks like someone smashed open the door."

FRANK (RADIO)

"Smashed open the door?...(STATIC)..What the hell would anyone want to break into here for?"

PERRY

"I don’t really care. Just get over there and use caution. I mean the fuckin doors hanging off it’s hinges."

FRANK (RADIO)

"You got it. I’ll call you when I get there. Out."

PERRY

"Fuck man, just watch yourself."

(PERRY LOOKS BACK TO THE SWITCHING MONITOR AS THE CAMERA SLOWLY ZOOMS BACK IN. IT THEN PANS UP TO ANOTHER MONITOR WHICH SHOWS FRANK WALKING IN ANOTHER PART OF THE BUILDING

CUT TO - SOMEWHERE IN THE WAREHOUSE. FRANK IS HEADING TO SECTOR THREE. HE IS EXTREMELY COLD)

FRANK

"Oh yeah, just one week that’s all I need. Just one week in Florida or Maui or Hawaii or any other fuckin place that is fuckin warmer than this ice rock. And please God, please let it be without my old lady. That’s all I ask. Is that too much?"

(THE SOUND OF A LARGE CREATURE IS HEARD AND FRANK STOPS IN HIS TRACKS)

FRANK

"That wasn’t the answer I was looking for."

(FRANK BRINGS THE RADIO TO HIS MOUTH TO CALL PERRY BUT STOPS. ANOTHER SOUND FROM THE CREATURE IS HEARD. FRANK STARTS TO MOVE ON QUICKLY. THEN TO A SPRINT.

CUT TO - A LONG SHOT OF A HALLWAY. FRANK ENTERS FROM A DOOR AT THE FAR END AND SHUTS IT BEHIND HIM. HE THEN STARTS DOWN THE HALL TOWARDS US. HE TALKS INTO THE RADIO)

FRANK

"Frank to base. Perry come in!"

PERRY (RADIO)

"Base here go ahead."

FRANK

"Man get someone out here. Something’s in here."

(CUT TO - PERRY BACK AT BASE)

PERRY

"What, you saw someone?"

FRANK (RADIO)

"Not someone...Something!"

PERRY

"What? Where are you?"

(CUT TO - FRANK TURNING A CORNER OF ANOTHER HALLWAY, GLANCING BEHIND HIM AS HE GOES)

FRANK

"I’m just getting to sector three."

PERRY (RADIO)

"Do you see anyone....(STATIC)

FRANK

"Fuck!"

(CUT TO -BASE MONITORS - FRANK WALKING DOWN THE HALL)

FRANK (RADIO)

"I told you...I heard something in sector four..(STATIC)...and it wasn’t familiar!"

PERRY

"Maybe it was a stray animal or something. They always get in here."

FRANK (RADIO)

"(STATIC)....is this....I don’t think a stray dog did this..(STATIC)"

(PERRY WATCHES THE MONITORS AS FRANK IS AT THE ENTRYWAY)

PERRY

"How’s it look? Forcible entry?"

FRANK (RADIO)

"....(STATIC)...Fuck man the fuckin...(STATIC)..s off it’s hinges! (BREAKUP)...fuck do you think...(STATIC)."

PERRY

"Calm down man. Just see if you can secure the area and get back here."

"Did you copy?"

FRANK (RADIO)

"(STATIC)...aking up..(STATIC)...at’s great , now it’s these (STATIC)..adio’s."

(AS PERRY WATCHES THE MONITORS SWITCH FROM HALLWAY TO DOORWAY. HE LOOKS TO ANOTHER MONITOR SHOWING A DARK ROOM. THE ONLY LIGHT IN THIS ROOM IS FROM THE DOOR WHICH HAS A LARGE WINDOW. A LARGE DARK IMAGE COMES INTO FRAME AND IS BRIEFLY SUILLOITED BY THIS WINDOW.

THE MONITOR THEN SWITCHES TO ANOTHER ROOM)

PERRY

"Frank. Get out of there. Get back here right now!"

FRANK (RADIO)

"(STATIC)..hear a thing base...(BREAKOUT)"

PERRY

"Frank!"

(THE MONITOR SWITCHES BACK TO THE ROOM JUST AS THE LARGE THING EXITS THE ROOM AND HEADS DOWN THE HALL TOWARDS FRANK)

PERRY

"Frank! Get the hell out of there!"

(WE SEE FRANK INSIDE THE ROOM AND PICK UP A PIECE OF WOOD AND TOSS IT ASIDE. HE THEN BACKS UP INTO THE HALLWAY. A LARGE SHADOW OVERTAKES FRANK JUST AS THE CAMERA SWITCHES BACK TO THE HALLWAY.)

PERRY

"Fuck!"

(FRANK IS BEING MAULED IN THE DISTANCE OF THE HALLWAY SHOT.

THE THING DRAGS FRANK INTO THE ROOM JUST AS THE CAMERAS SWITCH AGAIN AND WE SEE FROM WAIST UP FRANK BEING DRAGGED OFF SCREEN SCREAMING)

PERRY

"Oh fuck, fuck...FUCK!"

(WE SWITCH FROM HALL TO ROOM AGAIN IN TIME TO SEE FRANK’S RIPPED BACK TRYING TO LEAVE THE ROOM. HE IS QUICKLY PULLED BACK OFF SCREEN WITH GREAT FORCE)

PERRY

"FUCK! God no! No....Fuck!"

(PERRY PACES THE ROOM FRANTICALLY AND THROWS THE RADIO ACROSS THE ROOM.

HE LOOKS TO THE MONITORS.

NOTHING.

HE PICKS UP THE PHONE AND DIALS.

THEN HE HEARS FRANK ON THE RADIO

FRANK (RADIO)

"Coming........"

(PERRY LOOKS TO RADIO ON FLOOR)

FRANK (RADIO)

"....it’s coming......"

(CUT BACK TO PERRY.

HE PULL OUT HIS GUN AND WIPES THE SWEAT FROM HIS HEAD.

HE HEADS FOR THE DOOR.

LOOKS OUT THE WINDOW.

CUT TO - OUT OF OFFICE - PERRY LOOKING OUT WINDOW AS THE CAMERA PULLS BACK QUICKLY TO SHOW ALL IS CLEAR.

PERRY SLOWLY OPENS THE DOOR.

CUT TO - SECURITY CAMERA VIEW OF PERRY COMING OUT OF OFFICE AND MOVING TOWARDS OUTSIDE DOOR.

CUT TO - CLOSE UP OF PERRY GLANCING AROUND AS HE MOVES TO THE DOOR. GUN UP NEAR HIS FACE.

HE BACKS OUT THE OPEN DOOR.

CUT TO -OUTSIDE - QUIET - COLD WIND BLOWING.

PERRY CLOSES THE DOOR BEHIND HIM. PULLS OUT HIS CAR KEYS.

MEDIUM SHOT FROM CAR - PERRY LOOKS AROUND AND RUSHES TO CAR.

FROM RIGHT SIDE OF SCREEN STEPS OFFICER CHRIS HANSEN AS PERRY JUMPS AND THEN GRABS HOLD OF HIM AS THEY FALL TO THE GROUND.

CUT TO PERRY’S CAR KEYS LANDING IN THE SNOW SOMEWHERE.

CHRIS IS A BLOODY MESS. FACE AND NECK RIPPED OPEN GUSHING BLOOD WHICH STEAMS IN THE COLD AIR.)

PERRY

"Fuck! Chris. What? Holy fuck!"

CHRIS

(PERRY STARTS TO GET UP WHEN CHRIS IS SUDDENLY PULLED OUT OF HIS ARMS AND PULLED OFF SCREEN.

CUT TO - CHRIS SCREAMING AND BEING TORN UP BY THE CREATURE.

PERRY LOOKS IN SHOCK

CHRIS BEING SWUNG FROM SIDE TO SIDE.

WE SEE PERRY WATCHING AS CHRIS IS MAULED.

PERRY GRABS GUN AND AIMS IT AT THE CAMERA AND FIRES.

BRIGHT FLASH.

SHOT OF CHRIS FALLING TO THE GROUND.

PERRY SHOOTS AGAIN.

PERRY’S P.O.V. - CREATURE IS GONE - FOR NOW.

PERRY BACKS UP TO THE CAR AND TRIES THE DOOR.

IT’S LOCKED.

SHOT OVER CHRIS’ STEAMING BODY AS -

PERRY LOOKS AROUND FOR THE KEYS.

SHOT OF SNOW COVERED GROUND.

PERRY GETS HIMSELF UP. TERRIBLY FRIGHTENED HE LOOKS AROUND POINTING HIS GUN.

RUNNING FROM CAMERA AS IT PULLS DOWN BACK TO CHRIS’ STEAMING BODY.

CUT TO - LONG SHOT OF DESOLATE AREA AS PERRY RUNS TO SOMEWHERE - SOMEPLACE FOR HELP.

CLOSE UP - PERRY RUNNING - GASPING FOR AIR.

THE CREATURE IS HEARD HOWLING - COMING AFTER PERRY.

P.O.V. OF CREATURE - IT IS RUNNING AFTER PERRY.

IT’S VISION IS DISTORTED AS IF OVER EXPOSED FILM.

THE SOUND OF PERRY PANTING AND MOANING IS DISTORTED IN THE CREATURES EARS.

CUT TO - PERRY RUNNING.

CUT TO P.O.V. - CREATURE CATCHING UP.

CUT TO PERRY SLOWING - TURNING TO THE CREATURE AS HE RAISES HIS GUN.

CUT TO P.O.V. OF CREATURE AS IT LUNGES AT PERRY WHO FIRES.

CUT TO - LARGE SHAPE OVERTAKING PERRY AS THEY FALL OUT OF SCREEN.

CUT TO - PERRY’S GUN SLIDING ACROSS THE ICE COVERED GROUND.

CUT TO - PERRY FIGHTING WITH THE CREATURE.

QUICK BLURRED MOVEMENTS OF THE CREATURE ATTACKING PERRY)

(THE CREATURE CONTINUES TO ATTACK PERRY AS WE -

(SLOW FADE IN - CLOSE UP - PERRY’S FACE. BLOODIED AND LYING IN THE SNOW.

THE SOUND OF PEOPLE TALKING.

LIGHTS FLASHING.

ALMOST DREAMLIKE - SLOW MOTION.

PERRY’S EYES SLOWLY OPEN.

CUT TO - P.O.V. OF PERRY - POLICE AND AMBULANCE LIGHTS.

PEOPLE MOVING BACK AND FORTH.

CUT TO - CLOSE UP OF PERRY SLOWLY REGAINING CONSCIOUSNESS.

CUT TO P.O.V. - PERRY LOOKS UP TO SEE WHAT SEEM TO BE AMBULANCE ATTENDANTS WORKING ON HIM FROM ABOVE.

THEY LIFT HIM UP WITH THE CARRIER WHICH HE’S ALREADY ON.

HE SEE’S VARIOUS WORKERS MOVING ABOUT COORDINATING OFF THE AREA WITH AN ORANGE TAPE.

PERRY IS PLACED IN THE BACK OF NOT AN AMBULANCE BUT WHAT SEEMS TO BE A BLACK BRONCO OR VAN. THE BACK DOORS ARE SHUT.

AS HE LAYS THERE HE CAN SEE AND HEAR THROUGH THE CAR’S BACK WINDOW A ‘MAN IN BLACK’ TALKING TO A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL)

OFFICIAL

"...But I’m telling you I just don’t understand what all this is about. This is not the way we do things around here..."

M.I.B.

"Sir there is nothing for you to understand. It is really quite simple. There is nothing more for you to do for us now except for you to go on back to your little station and continue to eat doughnuts and save your little town from the thieves and bad guys running your streets."

OFFICIAL

"This is not any more of your business. We have everything under control. (CALLS ANOTHER M.I.B.) Thirty two."

(PERRY CONTINUES TO WATCH THE PROCEEDINGS)

(THE SECOND M.I.B. UNDERSTANDS THE CODES AND COMPLIES)

THE FIRST M.I.B. TURNS AWAY AND LIGHTS UP A CIGARETTE)

"Sir please come with me."

"Wait a minute I have to fill out my reports on all of this."

M.I.B. - 2

"Sir, please come with me."

(M.I.B. GRABS HOLD OF THE OFFICIAL’S ARM AND STARTS TO LEAD HIM AWAY.

THE CAR THAT PERRY IS IN STARTS UP)

OFFICIAL

"Wait a minute...What about him"

(PERRY SEE’S THE OFFICIAL POINT TO HIM AS HE IS LED AWAY.

THE M.I.B. LOOKS TO PERRY IN THE CAR)

M.I.B.

"That is not your concern anymore sir.....We will take care of him now."

(AS THE CAR STARTS TO MOVE AWAY WE SEE THE M.I.B. PUFF ON HIS CIGARETTE.

CUT TO - PERRY’S FACE AS HE SLOWLY CLOSES HIS EYES.)
