Remember When?
Remember when you were
young? The winters were playful and the summers were long. It hasn't been that way in a
long time. As we got older the summers were too hot and over before we knew it. The
winters, they seem to now last forever with ugly grey streets of slush and endless bitter
cold you hardly felt as a child.
Well this page is going to bring all of us back to those magic adolescent days before we
knew what worry and dread was.
Back to when all we wanted was to catch lightening bugs, rip off they're asses, and smear
the glow gunk onto our pure flesh.
Eating those hot bowls of Malto Meal before school on those winter mornings while watching
'The Ray Rayner Show'. And then 'Garfield Goose', the show that we watched the adventures
of Clutch Cargo, Funny Company, and the antics of Hardrock, Coco, and Joe.

Heading out to the little candy store at recess and buying those
Flying Saucer thingy's with the teeth breaking balls in them. Wax lips, Red licorice
whips, and those little candy beads on that white paper.
Eating lunch while watching the 'Bozo Show' knowing that you had to head back off to
finish school right after the Grand Prize Game. Ah those Magic Arrows.
These are the memories of our childhood, and we will relive them again on this page.

To Be A Kid Again
I want to be a kid again. I want to go back to the
time when:
Decisions were made by going "enemy-meeny-miney-mo."
Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!"
"Race issue" meant arguing about who ran the fastest.
Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "Monopoly."
Catching the fireflies could happily occupy an entire evening.
It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends.
Being old referred to anyone over 20.
The net on a tennis court was the perfect height to play volleyball and
rules didn't matter.
The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties.
It was magic when dad would "remove" his
thumb.
It was unbelievable that dodgeball wasn't an Olympic event.
Having a weapon in school meant being caught with a slingshot.
Nobody was prettier than Mom.
Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better.
It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides
at the amusement park.
Getting a foot of snow was a dream come true.
Abilities were discovered because of a "double-dog-dare."
Saturday morning cartoons weren't 30-minute ads for
action figures.
No shopping trip was complete unless a new toy was brought home.
"Oly-oly-oxen-free" made perfect
sense.
Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause
for giggles.
The worst embarrassment was being picked last for a team.
War was a card game.
Water balloons were the ultimate weapon.
Baseball cards in the spokes transformed any bike into a motorcycle.
Taking drugs meant orange-flavored chewable aspirin.
Ice cream was considered a basic food group.
Older siblings were the worst tormentors but also the
fiercest
protectors!
I want to be a kid again.
Now....Lets remember those great times!
Hey Kids!
Remember all that cool candy we used to munch down on when we were youngins?
Thought you'd never eat them again?
