This Was My Bedroom
Yeah, this was what my bedroom
looked like around the time I graduated grammar school.
Pretty shocking huh?
I had so many monster posters, pictures, movies, all over the place.
That big Frankie was right over my bed.
Quite a change from the normal crucifix you would normally see. That was a once in a
lifetime item too. I ordered it from the back of a 'Famous Monsters of Filmland' magazine
from the late sixties. Can't get one like that anymore. I wish I still had it. I do
still have that original "Jason and the Argonauts" movie poster though. A bit
tattered but in my possession.

The shelves were stuffed with model kits, books, anything I thought was cool. Universal Monsters, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek, all sorts of things to keep me entertained.

This is where I dreamed up stories, drew artwork, listened to my records (remember them?), and watched a lot of Super 8 & 8mm movies I had collected.

My mom took these pictures one day when I was at school. She never told me until I was older. Nobody believed her when she told them what my room looked like. She even wanted to send them into Reader's Digest but I said no. I didn't want anyone to think I was weird or anything. But hey, I'm displaying them now. I loved living in here! I'm just glad that my mom kept these photo memories so I can look back and remember the fun times. Well...until I got the Basement.
