The Backroom

Welcome To The Backroom!

The backroom is basically the back portion of the basement. All basements have one. It's the portion of the basement that you really don't fix up, at least in my house it wasn't.

"Nobody is gonna come back here." my dad would say, "So why should I fix it up?"

But actually the backroom was used quite frequently.

Sure it was where we did the laundry, and it had the basic work bench with tools and such.

But during the many party's in my basement the backroom came in pretty handy. Because of the large freezer back here it was where everyone kept they're beers cold. It also became the 'makeout' room. The place where certain couples would go to..well, makeout. It eventually became pretty routine. You needed a beer, you knocked on the door before entering. It was then handed out to you. Simple, and no questions asked.

It was also the place for rest and recuperation. That's right, the sink in the backroom was also used often for relief of certain vomitous activities. Very handy in situations which can cause an embarrassment. Well, except when the backroom was occupied.

But in my new Basement, it now holds much more fun! See my new basement now contains a secret area to explore.

So have fun and stay out of trouble. Oh and if you hear anyone knock, hand them a beer. Thanks!
